Happy V-Day Weekend!

Forgot to bring camera, but luckily I had one on my phone for a couple of pics!

Yummy Yummy Onion Rings

Humoring me while I'm taking a picture of him.
Trying to get a cute shot and this is what face Rory pulls.

The most decent pic of us at Red Robin.

(If you don't want to read details about my day away from kids, DON'T. I am writing it for journaling purposes.)
I was so excited for this weekend because for the first time ever I was going to leave my twin girls overnight. They are 15 months and I thought that it was definitely time. It took me along time to leave Cameron for the first time. He was 16 months before I left him overnight. What can I say, I enjoy my kids and struggle leaving them. Is that so wrong? I don't know why I struggle so much because my mother does awesome with them and they love her so much.
I had this whole trip planned. I was going to surprise Rory, but that didn't happen because I hate when people try to surprise me, therefore, I struggle keeping surprises from other people. I booked the hotel at the Marriott in Provo. Okay, maybe I didn't have the whole trip planned. All I knew was where we were staying and that I wanted to see Valentines Day. Rory RARELY lets me decide on the movie, so I was feeling a little guilty for wanting to watch a sappy movie. TRUST ME, I was able to get over the guilty feeling very quickly, cause trust me I have watched some really dumb movies that Rory has picked.
After the movie we ended up going to Red Robin for dinner because I was craving their onion rings.....SOO YUMMY!!! We waited for about 45 minutes to get seated, but we knew that every restaurant would most likely be that busy. We stuffed our faces to the point where we wanted to undue our pants, but considering we didn't want to scare the other love birds, we chose to keep our pants buttoned. We then went to the hotel to relax in the hot tub, but after 10 minutes I got too hot and too annoyed with being that hot that we thought it was time to go shower and watch TV. In the process I realized that I had a sweet tooth and I needed dessert! So we drove to Smiths and bought 2 pints of ice cream and some OH SO DELICIOUS fudge brownies. Then went to bed in an amazing cushy and soft king size bed.
The next morning we slept until 10:15 am (can't remember the last time I slept in that long) and thought it was time to get up and go eat breakfast and then get on our way to pick up our kids in Ephraim. It was amazing 24 hours to spend alone with my husband that I love so much. I can truly say that I REALLY ENJOY his company! I can't wait to FINALLY take our honeymoon this year in September when we go to Del Mar, CA for a week. We will have been married for 6 years in August and 3 kids later, we DESERVE our HONEYMOON!!!!

Climb much?

I am in trouble! My girls think it is so funny to slide the little chairs to the cupboards and climb on top of them. Apparently last night when I was playing volleyball, Chrissy fell off of the chair. I would have never known if Cameron didn't give me a detailed description of the fall. I sent a picture of them on top of the chair to my dad and all he replied was, "You Deserve It." THANKS DAD!!!!

Pics from Daddy...

While I'm at work Rory sends me these cute pictures of my girls. They are sooo funny and have completely different personalities. It is so fun to watch them interact with each other. They LOVE to wrestle each other at night. Maybe one of these times I can get a video of them doing it because it is so stinkin cute!

Sleeping babies...

Most the times my babies sleep side by side exactly alike......
Other times I think they wish that they had a little more room for themselves.....

Cameron a good painter....

So the past couple of days I have been trying to paint a couple of our rooms. I finished the front room finally and started painting the dining room. The ladder collapsed on me while I was finishing the trim by the ceiling, so I was a little skeptical to use the ladder for the rest of the day. Cameron unfortunately was right by the ladder when it fell and it whacked him in the head, giving him a big goose egg. My leg is scratched up, but I'm a trooper and am fine.

Here are a pictures of Cameron painting. I kept telling him that he was such a good painter, so he would constantly reply, "It makes me sooo happy to be a good painter!" He is such a sweet boy and was so excited that I let him "help" me.

Chowing down......

I tried to get them to both look at the camera, but I could only get one at a time, except for the first picture. Sometimes I let them eat small snacks like fruit cups or peas at this table because they usually eat the majority of them and there isn't a huge mess. I'm starting to think they eat better at this little table then at the big table with their highchairs. They are growing up sooo fast!!! And for all of you that can't tell them apart, Chrissy is on the your left and Kayla is on your right. ;)

Dear Kayla,

I know you love your sister. And I know that you want revenge for her biting you several times last week. I know you get lonely when you wake up and Chrissy is still sleeping, but please stop sitting on her face to wake her up. I hear you laughing, yet I hear your sister crying.
Love,
Mom

Cameron is confused...........sweet..........but confused!

Cameron: "I came from Wal-Mart."
Rory: What?!
Cameron: "I came from Wal-Mart."
Rory: "No, you came from Mommy's belly."
Cameron: "No, I didn't. I came from the store."
Rory: "Well, where did the babies come from?"
Cameron: "The store too...."
THE NEXT DAY
Rory: "Babe, we have a problem, Cameron thinks he came from Walmart."
Amy: "HAHAHA, WHAT?"
Rory: "Cameron thinks he came from Walmart, I told him he came from your belly, but he thinks he came from the store. Cameron, where did you come from?"
Cameron: "Walmart."
Rory: "Where did babies come from?"
Cameron: "Smiths!"
ONE DAY, ONE DAY HE WILL HOPEFULLY UNDERSTAND THAT HE DID COME FROM MY BELLY, NOT FROM THE STORE.... YOU CAN'T GET THESE STRETCH MARKS FROM THE STORE!!!!!

Keep Out?! Maybe.....

This is the sign Cameron made before he had quiet time today. And all he told me was he needed to make a sign with a red marker telling the babies to stay out of his room! I'm just glad he is learning young on how much trouble girls can be!

Publicly Apologizing

I need to publicly apologize to Chrissy Jean Jones. I am constantly blaming her for making the messes in our house.
See pictures below: On this day she grabbed the box of honeycombs and dumped them all over the kitchen.
On this day she got into the container of crackers and dumped them all over the floor, along with a bunch of baby food.
BUT on this day, it was Kayla that started the mess! She grabbed the bowl of oatmeal that her daddy left sitting way too close to her, tempting her to make a mess.
I think she liked getting blamed and actually doing it this time.
